Stacey Baca is an American anchor and reporter who is currently working at ABC 7 Chicago. She serves as the Saturday and Sunday Morning co-anchor at 5-7 a.m. and 8-10 a.m. on the station. In addition, she joined the ABC 7 Chicago News team in 2002.

She is a seasoned journalist who covers a wide range of stories: education, crime, breaking news, health, politics, and feature stories. After the Cubs won the 2016 World Series she smiled with the club’s fans outside Wrigley Field. In addition, her journalism career began in newspapers as she worked at the Brighton Standard Blade in her hometown. At the same time, she attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. After she had graduated she was able to secure a job at the Denver Post where she served as a staff writer. Furthermore, she also uncovered information on the local militia movements and detailed how HIV/AIDS was affecting the Latino community.
Furthermore, while she has been working as an anchor and reporter, she has received many awards and recognitions from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and the Associated Press. She is also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and NATAS.
