Shirleen Allicot is an American anchor working for WABC-TV as the co-anchor of Eyewitness News This Morning and Eyewitness News at Noon.
Prior to joining the WABC-TV team, Allicot worked for Action News where she served as the co-anchor of the 4 pm newscast. She has also worked for Action News where she co-anchored the 10 pm newscast on WPHL in Philadelphia. Over the years, Shirleen has covered everything from; the deadly 2015 Amtrak derailment, to the Boston Marathon Bombings, to Hurricane Sandy. In addition, a number of her most memorable moments include; doing live reports from London during the Royal Wedding of 2018 and interviewing First Lady Michelle Obama in the White House Kennedy Garden.
Furthermore, Shirleen has also worked for News 12 Long Island, News 12 Connecticut, and News 12 the Bronx. While she was at The Bronx, she sharpened her skills in shooting, writing, and editing her stories. Ozone Park, Queens is Allicot’s native home, and she attended Hofstra University in Hempstead, Long Island where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. During her leisure time, she enjoys; testing her skills in the kitchen, volunteering in the community, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
