Shery Ahn is an American anchor who is currently working at Bloomberg. She serves as the anchor of Daybreak Asia and Daybreak Australia which air at 6 pm and 9 pm. In addition, she joined the Bloomberg team in September 2014.

Previously, she was based in Hong Kong and while she was there, she covered major events such as BOJ policy decisions from Tokyo and the G20 summit from Hangzhou. Her conversations with policymakers and Asian business leaders include Tokyo’s, Governor Yuriko Koike, Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda, and Baidu’s Robin Li.
In addition, she has also worked in Tokyo for Japan’s public broadcaster NHK World where she served as an anchor. While she was at the station, she anchored the weekend edition of NHK World’s flagship news program from 8 am to 2 pm. Ahn also reported live on the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan and the ongoing nuclear crisis in Fukushima. Furthermore, she started her journalism career in Seoul where she served as a Diplomatic Correspondent covering the Six-Party Nuclear Talks in Beijing and North Korea.
