When she joined the station, she served as a weekend anchor and investigative journalist. While Myers served as an investigative journalist, she covered an investigation on a fatal fire in Prichard, Alabama. For her coverage of the fatal fire, she won a second-place AP award.
After having served as an investigative journalist for over 4 years, Shelby was promoted to the morning anchor role. In addition, this position was given to her when the FOX10 News station started the Good Day Gulf Coast newscast. While anchoring on Good Day Gulf Coast, she updated the Gulf Coast residents on both local and national headline stories.
After having graduated, Shelby began her journalism career at WXXV-TV in Biloxi, Mississippi. While working at WXXV, she began as a multimedia journalist and was later promoted to being the anchor of the 10 pm newscast. In addition, she started her weekly program that sheds light on crimes and cold cases happening in the Mississippi Gulf Coast. For her program, the Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers organization awarded her for her fight against crime.
