Shae Rozzi Biography
Shae Rozzi is an American investigative anchor and reporter working for FOX 23 as a co-anchor for FOX23 News at 5, 6, 6:30, 9 & 10 alongside Sara Whaley. She joined the FOX 23 news team in 2013, after previously working for WSB-TV.
Rozzi made the move to Tulsa from the Cox Media Group flagship station WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Initially serving as a General Assignment Reporter and Fill-in Anchor for six months, she was later promoted to Main Evening Anchor in Tulsa. Her first day on the job coincided with the Boston Marathon bombing, where she promptly traveled to Boston to report on the response to the explosions. During this tragic event, she also interviewed runners from Oklahoma who were present. The majority of her career was spent at WTVD, the ABC-owned station in Raleigh, North Carolina, spanning nearly 12 years. In the Triangle area, she held the position of Weekend Evening Anchor and focused on investigative reporting throughout the week.
She covered significant stories during her career, including the political corruption trial of former presidential candidate John Edwards and the Duke Lacrosse case. One of the most emotionally challenging assignments for her was reporting on the Virginia Tech massacre, an incident that struck close to home as it was her alma mater. Her television career began at WLUC in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, followed by anchoring and reporting at WSLS in Roanoke, Virginia, before working in North Carolina, Georgia, and eventually Oklahoma. Since joining the FOX23 News Team in 2013, she has earned multiple Emmy awards. However, she values the rewarding feeling of community service even more. Since 2016, she has been an active member of the Tulsa Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, volunteering with the Angel Tree Program, Red Kettle bell ringing campaign, and emceeing signature events.
Additionally, she also supports the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association by emceeing events throughout the year. Together with her family, she appreciates the friendly nature of the people, the community’s resilience in the face of disasters, and the proximity to beautiful lakes.
