Sean Lewis Biography
Sean Lewis is an American anchor and reporter working for WGN-TV as a weekend morning anchor a position he took up in September 2016. He joined the WGN-TV team in June 2008, and CLTV in March 2007.
Prior to Lewis taking up his current position, he served as a reporter for the 5 pm and 9 pm weekly newscast. Before Sean relocated to Chicago, he worked at WWBT-TV, the NBC affiliate in Richmond, Virginia where he served as a weekend anchor for over two years. Sean’s native home is Kenosha, Wisconsin and while growing up he enjoyed watching Chicago news.
Over the years, he has worked in Madison Wisconsin, North Dakota, Rockford, Illinois, and Fargo. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he graduated proudly. Furthermore, while Lewis was in Rockford, he served on the board of the AIDS Care Network. The Illinois Associated Press named Sean as the Best Newswriter. For his special report on the student journalists who were the first on the scene of the NIU shootings, the Associated Press recognized him in 2009.
