Scott Williams Biography
Scott Williams is an American Emmy award-winning meteorologist working for FOX 29 as a meteorologist and weather anchor. He joined the FOX 29 news team in 2012.
Prior to joining the FOX 29 news team, Williams worked at The Weather Channel in Atlanta where he covered weather across the country. Scott started his career in Texas and over the years, he has also worked in South Carolina. In addition, Williams was awarded by the American Meteorological Society with their Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal (CBM). The certificate is the highest award given to broadcast meteorologists.
In addition, Scott has also received the (NWA) National Weather Association’s seal of approval. His interest in meteorology began during his childhood days while he was in South Carolina after having survived Hurricane Hugo. Furthermore, he has taught meteorology to academically gifted students in the talent identification program at Duke University.
Williams attended North Carolina State University where he studied meteorology and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Whenever he finds time, he enjoys volunteering in the community and visiting schools to talk about the weather. During his free time, he enjoys cooking, fishing, scoping out Philadelphia area restaurants, and spending time with his family.
