Scott Padgett is an American Emmy nominated meteorologist who is currently working at CBS 11 where he serves as the chief meteorologist. In addition, he joined the KTVT news team in September 2013.

His interest in weather began at an early age as he would sit with his father on the front porch watching the storms roll into his neighborhood. later on, he attended Western Illinois University where he graduated proudly with a Bachelor of Science in meteorology and a double minor in broadcasting and math.
While serving as a meteorologist, he has forecasted many different climates including desert heat, tornadoes, hurricanes, and ice storms. In addition, he is also a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
Furthermore, the American Meteorological Society awarded him in 2006, with the Seal of Approval. Prior to being an Emmy nominated meteorologist with over twenty-two years of forecasting experience. During his leisure time, he enjoys traveling, running, hiking, and being at the gym.
