Sasha Jones Biography
Sasha Jones is an American reporter working for WTVJ as a consumer investigative reporter. She joined the WTVJ news team in May 2016.
Before Jones relocated to South Florida, she worked at WMC Action News 5 in Memphis, Tennessee. Sasha has served as a reporter for top stories across the region. For the last three years, she covered stories ranging from; the 50th commemoration of the death of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, the removal of Confederate statues, Jr, and Memphis’ 2015 record-breaking homicide rate. In addition, prior to relocating to Memphis Sasha worked for WXVT in Greenville, Mississippi, and for KSLA News 12 in Shreveport, Los Angeles.
Southfield, Michigan is Jones’ native home and she attended Western Michigan University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Film and Video Studies. In addition, while Sasha worked at WMU, she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. During her spare time, she enjoys working out at the gym, spending ample time with family, and attending music concerts.
