Prior to joining the NBC6 news team, Cardona worked for ABC 36 in Lexington, Kentucky where she served as a sports anchor and reporter. Before that, she worked for CBS4 in Gainesville, Florida where she served as a sports anchor and reporter for two years. While Sara worked at CBS4, she covered the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and the University of Florida. For over two years, Cardona worked for ESPN3 and ESPN Plus as a sideline reporter covering basketball games and Conference USA football.
