Sandra Torres is an American reporter working for NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago as a morning and midday reporter. She joined the NBC 5 team in January 2018.
Prior to joining the NBC 5 news team, Torres worked for CBS 2 in Chicago where she served as a general assignment reporter from 2015 to 2017. She feels at home while working for the NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago family. For 2 years, Sandra worked at NBC 5 as a content producer for the morning show, and later in 2012, she left the station. In addition, Torres worked for the CBS affiliate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and while she was there, she served as a multi-media journalist.
While working in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she covered stories that made national headlines such as; the Slenderman stabbing case and the mass shooting at a Sikh temple. Torres also worked for Telemundo Wisconsin which is the only local Spanish-speaking station in the state. While at Telemundo Wisconsin, she served as the anchor of the 10 pm newscast.

After having graduated, she started her broadcast journalism career in 2006.
