Houston is her native home and she attended Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and the Houston Children’s Chorus. Later on, she joined the University of Houston where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism. Furthermore, she also attended the U of H Program for Excellence in Selling where she graduated proudly.
She did intern at KTRK and she is happy to be back at the station. Previously, she resided in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and worked at WHP-TV. While she was at the station, she served as a general assignments reporter and fill-in anchor. In addition, she has also worked at KXXV in Waco where she covered everything from President George W. Bush at his Crawford Ranch to high profile courts-martial cases on Fort Hood.

Furthermore, she has received recognition for a story she investigated about a Pennsylvania company that took thousands of dollars from employees for health insurance that did not exist. Her investigation resulted in the introduction of state legislation.
During her leisure time, she enjoys singing and art which has taken her to the stage of Carnegie Hall and to the cities of Shenzen, Shanghai, and Beijing, China. In addition, she is also active in her church and works diligently as a volunteer in her community.
