Sam Worthington is an Australian actor best known for Terminator Salvation (2009), Clash of the Titans (2010), The Shack (2017), and Manhunt (2017). He rose to fame after starring in the Fiction film Avatar (2009).

Worthington had a small role in the Australian dance movie Bootmen (2000) with Adam Garcia. He was also the main character in the low-budget Australian comedy Gettin’ Square. Worthington plays the role of Corporal Jake Sully in the science fiction film Avatar. Jake is a 22-year-old disabled soldier of the Marines when the first movie starts and we see him on Earth. Jake becomes one of the 20 known avatar drivers. He later turns bad after switching allegiances to the Na’vi species after seeing how greedy and cruel the RDA was to them when they destroyed the Hometree.
Jake took over his twin brother Tom’s job in the Avatar Program on Pandora after Tom was killed. In this program, humans control human/Na’vi hybrids from afar to keep the world safe. He was originally sent to gather the information that would help Colonel Quaritch figure out how to get the Na’vi to leave Hometree, or even destroy it since the Na’vi were stopping the RDA from getting to a huge amount of unobtanium that was buried under the tree.
Jake quits his original task and stops reporting to Quaritch after spending time with the Na’vi. The Na’vi hunter Neytiri teaches Jake how to do things and Jake falls in love with her. He joins the Omatikaya clan in the end and becomes Neytiri’s partner. Once he becomes the sixth Toruk Makto, he fights against the RDA and leads the Na’vi in a battle to get the RDA off of Pandora. After getting most of the humans to leave, Jake leads the clan to carry out Tsu’tey’s last wish.
They had three biological children, named Neteyam, Lo’ak, and Tuktirey. They also adopted a daughter named Kiri and a human boy named Spider. But the RDA would come back and was set on killing Jake because he was a key war leader for The Resistance.
This would bring down the confidence of the Resistance and throw their plans off track. Quaritch came back as a Recom after the Omatikaya moved to High Camp and almost killed Jake’s kids. For the sake of the children and the safety of the clan, Jake and his family ran away to live with the Metkayina and learn their ways. Jake and Neytiri fought with the Metkayina against the RDA because their children had been taken. Eventually, they joined the Metkayina group.
