Ryan Ermanni is an American anchor working at FOX 2 News as the morning anchor from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. He also serves as the host of WoodwardSports which airs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Ermanni joined the FOX 2 team in May 1999, as an intern working in the sports department.

For as long as Ermanni can recall, he has always been passionate about sports. After he realized he wasn’t going to be a professional athlete, working in sports television was something he was willing to try. He attended the University of Michigan where he earned a degree in Economics. While he studied at the University of Michigan, he discovered that was not willing to do anything for a living that he did not enjoy. Ryan secured an internship at FOX 2 and has been working at the station ever since.

In addition, while Ermanni was in Cadillac, Michigan, he secured his first job at the 9 and 10 newscasts. After working for the station for a year, he relocated to Toledo, Ohio. where he worked at the FOX affiliate there and later in 2003, he secured a full-time position at FOX 2. While working at FOX 2, he has covered; NBA Finals, Super Bowl, Ryder Cup, World Series, Final Four, Stanley Cup championship, and every major sporting event this country has to offer.

Furthermore, as Ryan worked in the sports department, he had the opportunity to do a number of non-sports-related assignments such as work in the news department. Later in May 2016, he shifted to the morning news as a feature reporter and not long after became the co-host of The Nine. During Ermanni’s free time, he enjoys watching sports and spending ample time with his family.
