Ryan Elijah Biography
Ryan Elijah is an American anchor working for FOX 35, as the co-anchor of Good Day Orlando which airs on weekday mornings, and host of Orlando Matters on weekends. He joined the FOX 35 news team in September 2012.
Elijah attended Anderson University where he studied Mass Communications and Political Science and earned a Bachelor of Science in 1994. While he studied at Anderson University, he was also a member of the golf and baseball teams. Later on, Ryan started his broadcasting career in a local radio station in Indiana where he served as a news director. After having served as an anchor in his home state of Indiana, he returned to Florida.
In addition, while Ryan worked in Indiana, he served as the director of a popular consumer segment that returned more than $100,000 to consumers. Elijah loves reporting live and he was live at the Seminole County Courthouse during the George Zimmerman trial. Over the years he has had the opportunity to interview many people including; President Obama, President Bush, and Tiger Woods as his favorite interviews.
Furthermore, Elijah has worked in Jacksonville as a sports director and he traveled with the Jaguars as the co-host of their television programming. He also worked for the Jaguars radio network as a sideline reporter. Ryan has also worked for FOX as a sideline reporter for many NFL games and while he was in Florida, he covered a number of National College Football championships, Super Bowls, and countless races at Daytona.
Over the years, Elijah has been honored with many awards such as an Associated Press honor for his news reports. Furthermore, he is actively involved in the local community as he has served on several boards, and he has often served as a host of charity events and political debates. During his free time, she enjoys spending time with his family and doing outdoor activities. In addition, he has served as the coach of youth and high school basketball for a number of years.
