Ryan Beesley Biography
Ryan Beesley is an American meteorologist who is currently working at Fox 5 Atlanta. He serves as the weekend morning meteorologist on Good Day Atlanta which airs at 10 a.m. and also at noon. In addition, he joined the FOX 5 Storm Team in March 2017.
Atlanta is his native home and he attended Roswell High School where he graduated in 2008. Later on, he joined the University of South Alabama where he graduated with a degree in meteorology. Additionally, during his senior year, he received the top forecaster award for the class of 2012.
After completing his degree he accepted his first on-air position at WLOX in Biloxi, Mississippi. While he was in Biloxi, he covered the Hattiesburg EF-4 tornado that struck on February 10, 2013, and Hurricane Isaac. In addition, he secured a job at WALB in Albany, Georgia before relocating to Knoxville, Tennessee, and later going back home to Atlanta.
Over the years, he has covered more than 30 tornadoes while serving as an on-air meteorologist inclusive of the tornado outbreak on April 27, 2011. In addition, during his leisure time, he enjoys spending ample time with his family, hiking, fishing, and golfing.
