Rosanna Scotto is an American anchor working for FOX 5 as the co-host of Good Day New York. She joined the WNYW/FOX 5 News news team in 1986.

Scotto started her television career at WTBS, Ted Turner’s UHF television station in Atlanta. While in Atlanta, she served as an associate producer of the station’s evening newscast and as a reporter for two local programs. In the early 1980s, Rosanna returned to her native home in New York where she worked for WABC’s “Good Morning New York,” as a reporter.
After having worked for years at “The Morning Show” and “Good Morning New York,” Rosanna joined WABC-TV as a reporter for “Eyewitness News” where she worked till she joined FOX 5. While working in the tri-state area, she has covered many major stories and her assignments have also taken her across the United States, Rome, and Israel. In addition, while serving as a reporter, he has won many awards.
Scotto has done many assignments while serving as a reporter including; the other woman in the Christie Brinkley divorce case, the notorious “Preppie Murder Trial,” the first exclusive interview with Diana Bianchi, the trials of Joel Steinberg and the “Swiss Nanny,” and the Woody Allen/Mia Farrow child custody battle. Furthermore, she led the FOX 5 news in getting Marty Tankleff a new trial and she was granted an exclusive interview with him in jail.
For serving as the co-anchor of Good Day New York and the 10 pm newscast on FOX 5, Rosanna has won four Emmys. Scotto’s report on “New York Survival Guide,” she was awarded the 1995 New York State Associated Press First Place Award. In addition, she has also won three other Associated Press First Place Awards such as two special Associated Press Award nominations. For her community service work, she has received many honors and awards.
Rosanna’s native home is Brooklyn, and she attended Catholic University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in 1980. She also attended Mount St. Mary College where she received an honorary doctorate in 2014, and she also received an honorary doctorate from St. John’s University.
