Roqui Theus Biography

Roqui Theus is an American Emmy award-winning host/ reporter who is currently working at KLAS-TV where she serves as the host of Las Vegas Now. She joined the KLAS-TV team in November 2019. 

Prior to joining the KLAS-TV team, she worked at KPIX, a CBS affiliate in San Francisco Bay Area where she served as an on-air Morning Traffic Anchor and Feature Reporter. She was also the first San Francisco-Bay Area reporter on the fun morning news show called GoodDay Sacramento and while she was on the show, she focused on; the community all at once, entertainment, and lifestyle. In addition., she has also worked at KRNV, the NBC affiliate in Reno, Nevada where she served as a production assistant, reporter, and producer. Furthermore, she attended the University of California with a full athletic scholarship and graduated with a major in Sociology, and wrote/conducted her own advice column in the school newspaper.

From 2008 to 2011, she interned at UC Irvine Athletics Media and Communications Department and at KTLA5 News where she was a script intern with KTLA5 Morning News. Later on, she worked at The Basketball Channel where she was a sideline and halftime reporter till August 2012 when she left the station. In addition, she was later able to secure a job at Afterbuzz TV where she served as an on-air host Furthermore, she has also worked at KMAX-TV where she served as a reporter and correspondent.
