Roop Raj is an American anchor and reporter working for FOX 2 as an evening anchor at 5,6,10,11pm and as host of Let It Rip. He joined the FOX 2 team in May 2009, after previously working for WDSU TV.

Raj began his career in Troy, Michigan where he served as a producer and host of his own television program while he was 14 years old. Later on, he secured a job in Flint, Michigan where he served as a weather and news anchor for a period of 4 years. Later on, he worked in New Orleans for NBC for 7 years, and after 24 hurricanes including Katrina, he relocated to Detroit in 1909. In addition, during the 2020 elections, Roop secured three exclusive and one on one interviews with then-candidate Joe Biden.

Roop also secured three, one on one exclusives with former President Trump. His final interview was in the Rose Garden with Trump who he interviewed for 15 minutes in the White House.
