Ron Terrell is an American Emmy-Award Winning anchor working for FOX 23 as a co-anchor for FOX23 News This Morning and an anchor for FOX23 News at 11. He joined the FOX 23 news team in June 2004, after previously working for KOCO.

Terrell registered at the University of Oklahoma and completed his studies in 1994, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Radio/TV/Film and Broadcast Journalism. The five-time Emmy Award-winning anchor became a part of the FOX23 News team in June 2004. Currently, he co-anchors FOX23 News This Morning and serves as the anchor for FOX23 News at 11. Additionally, he hosted the web series “Burger Brothers” on Fox 23. Before taking on his current role, he transitioned from the sports department to the anchor chair, where he had spent nearly two years as the Sports Director. During this time, he covered significant events such as the 2005 Orange Bowl and the NCAA Tournament. He was honored with the OAB Award in 2005 for the best sportscast, specifically for the “FOX23 Sports Buzz.” In the same year, he assumed the role of host for Oklahoma State University’s coaches shows.

Prior to his tenure at FOX23, he worked as the Sports Director at KOCO in Oklahoma City. His coverage included major sporting events like the 2001 US Open, 2002 Final Four, 2003 Rose Bowl, and Dallas Cowboys football. One of the highlights of his career was following the Oklahoma Sooners as they secured the national title at the 2001 Orange Bowl. He contributed to three OAB Award-winning OU football specials and earned the AP Best Sportscast award in 2004. He initiated his career in southeast Oklahoma as a sports reporter at KTEN, eventually becoming the weekend sports anchor. His extensive broadcast experience encompasses coverage of the Oklahoma City Bombing and the 1999 Oklahoma City tornadoes.

Beyond television, he co-hosted various radio programs in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. A graduate of OU in 1994, he grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, a Detroit suburb. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. His interests include basketball, golf, skiing, attending concerts, and passionately following his favorite sports team, the Detroit Tigers, despite the inevitable heartbreak they bring year after year. Additionally, he occasionally takes the stage in local theater productions.
