Ron Smiley is an American meteorologist working for KDKA as a weekday morning meteorologist. She joined the KDKA news team in June 2015, after previously working for Fox 59.
Texas is Smiley’s birth home and he was brought up in Little Rock, Arkansas after his father had retired from the Air Force. He attended Little Rock Catholic High where he graduated proudly. Later on, Ron joined Arkansas Tech University where he pursued his Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism. In addition, before Smiley relocated to Pittsburgh, he worked in Arkansas and Mississippi and not long ago, he worked in Indianapolis and New Orleans.
Furthermore, Ron’s love for weather began at a tender age and he enjoyed being out in the garden and talking about the clouds with his neighbor Mr. Mike, who works at the National Weather Service.
