Robert Suhr Biography
Robert Suhr is an American meteorologist working at 40/29 News where he serves as a weekday meteorologist. He joined the 40/29 Get Ready Weather Team in November of 2020, after previously working at Hearst Television.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is his native home, and prior to joining 40/29 News, he worked in Bismarck, North Dakota where he forecasted weather for Central and Western North Dakota for two years. While he was there, he forecasted; triple-digit heat, blizzards, severe weather, and 60 below zero wind chills. In addition, he was also nominated for a 2020 Upper Midwest Emmy Award for best Meteorologist while in Bismarck. For almost 15 years, he worked at a radio station, KDKA in Pittsburgh where he served as an assignment editor as well as a sports anchor at sister station Sports Radio 93.7.
Furthermore, in 2004, he joined Point Park University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism in 2007. Later in 2015, he joined Mississippi State University where he studied broadcast meteorology till 2017, when he graduated. During his free time, he enjoys playing golf, softball, restoring old cars, and spending ample time with friends and family.
