Rick Williams is an American anchor working for 6ABC as the co-anchor of the 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscast. He joined the 6ABC news team in 1988.
Williams has worked at 6ABC news for over 25 years and while at the station, he has served as an anchor and reporter. In January 2022, was when Rick took up his 11 p.m. anchoring role. He also serves as a reporter for the station’s weekly “Crimefighters” series. Prior to this, he served as the co-anchor of Action News Mornings thus assisting in creating a dominant early morning program.
In addition, Williams relocated to Philadelphia in 1988 after previously working at WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina. He also worked in West Virginia, Huntington, and Washington D.C. where he worked in radio. New York is his birth home but he considers himself a true Philadelphian who spends most of his time assisting in uplifting the community and inspiring you people in their academic work. Furthermore, Rick is a board member of the Philadelphia Futures, which is a non-profit organization that mentors college-bound Philadelphia students.
