Rich Caniglia Biography
Rich Caniglia is an American meteorologist who is currently working at WHEC-TV. He serves as a morning meteorologist for News 10NBC in Rochester, New York. He joined the WHEC-TV news team in the summer of 1999.
Since his childhood, he had always loved weather as he would run from window to window in the house to watch the snowfall and would watch the TV weatherman daily. Providence, Rhode Island was where he was born and later on, his parents moved to New Canaan, Connecticut while he was in high school.
After he had completed his high school education, he attended the Cornell University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Physics, While he was in college, he would try out television weather at the Ithaca College station. In addition, he instantly loved being on-air and he was able to secure a job at WETM-TV in Elmira, New York and he spent a number of years at the station. He later was able to secure a job at WHEC-TV in 1999, serving on the weekend shift for almost one year.
