Rheya Spigner Biography

Rheya Spigner is an American former anchor and reporter who is best known for her time at KCCI-TV where she served as the weekday evening co-anchor at 5, 6, and 10 p.m. She currently works at Rheydiant Consulting & Communications where she is the Chief Executive Officer. 

She joined KCCI-TV in July 2020 and later in August 2022, she left the station and she currently works at BLK & Bold Specialty Beverages as a communications and community advisor andRheydiant Consulting & Communications where she is the Chief Executive Officer. While she worked at KCCI-TV, she served as the weeknight evening co-anchor at 5, 6 and 10pm and the 9 pm solo anchor. Prior to taking up that role, she served as a morning traffic anchor and noon anchor. In addition, Spigner is passionate about social issues and she took up the role of focusing on diverse and pressing topics that are reflective of society and Iowa communities.

In 2019, Rheya won a diversity and inclusion award from ISU and in 2020, she was nominated for an Emmy for her reporting. She began her career in Albany, Georgia where she served as a multi-media journalist at WRDW-TV. Later on, she began serving as the go-to for LIVE breaking news reports and whuke she was there, she cultivated and anchored a segment known as The Morning Top Five. In addition, she attended ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism where she graduated proudly and as of the moment, she is working on her Master’s in Legal Studies at ASU’s Sandra Day O Connor school of Law.
