Born and raised in the Bay Area, Reyna attended the University of California, Riverside, where she completed her Political Science Media and Cultural Studies and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government. Before she joined KRON4, Reyna served as an anchor, reporter, and weather forecaster in Bakersfield, California, and covered breaking news and current affairs in Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri while working as a morning reporter. Prior to that, she interned for the Riverside mayor and in the White House communications department.
During her tenure at The White House, her close collaboration with the broadcast team, as well as many seasoned reporters who provided guidance and encouraged her to follow her passion for broadcast journalism, helped shape the President’s message to the American people.
In addition to her journalism career, Reyna served as a news assistant at KABC in Los Angeles, where she worked on the assignment desk and assisted in producing content for the hourly newscasts. Other stations that she has produced include, PBS, KTLA Channel 5 News in Hollywood, The Arsenio Hall Show, and The Oprah Winfrey Network. Reyna is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. During her spare time, Reyna enjoys listening to music, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and being a part of the community
