Following the devastating fire that destroyed her parents’ townhome in White Bear Lake on Sunday night, Sarigianopoulos has initiated a fundraiser to support their recovery. Detailing the incident on a GoFundMe campaign page, she shared that her mom, Beverly, and stepdad, Jerry, witnessed the destruction of their townhome when a fire broke out in a neighboring property. She explained that the neighboring townhome was intentionally set on fire with people inside. This led to the loss of her parents’ home. Fortunately, they managed to escape unharmed, albeit with only the clothes on their backs.

Expressing gratitude that the perpetrator was apprehended, she assured that arrangements were made for her parents to live elsewhere. Additionally, immediate efforts were underway to provide them with clothes and essential items. The fire occurred at a four-unit townhome complex on the 2600 block of Aspen Court in White Bear Lake just after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday. A 45-year-old man was arrested for “negligent fires and dangerous smoking,” and one person from the townhome where the fire originated sustained critical injuries. Sarigianopoulos, along with KARE 11 colleagues Jana Shortal and Nikki Muehlhausen, launched the fundraiser, which has already garnered over $6,000 in support of her parents’ recovery efforts.
