Reggie Wilson is an American sports anchor and reporter working for KARE 11 as a Sports Director. He joined the KARE 11 news team in September 2021, after previously working for WCPO-TV.
Wilson has recently joined KARE 11 as the Sports Director, bringing with him two years of experience covering Cincinnati sports. Originally from the St. Louis/Southern Illinois area, he grew up tuning into KARE 11’s sister station, KSDK. Before making his mark in the Queen City, he served as a Sports Anchor and Reporter in Dayton, OH. His career kickstarted in Wichita, KS, where he began as a news photojournalist and eventually transitioned to covering sports in Dodge City, KS. A place recognized by fans of the TV show Gunsmoke. He is an alumnus of the University of Missouri School of Journalism with a B.A. in Radio-Television journalism.
During his time at the University of Missouri, he served as a multimedia reporter and sports anchor for KOMU-TV, the local NBC affiliate. He takes pride in being a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists. His first encounter with Minneapolis was in 2015 during the NABJ National Convention, where he had the opportunity to meet and be mentored by the remarkable Boyd Huppert. Now, he is excited to work alongside Boyd as part of the KARE 11 team, telling sports stories in the Twin Cities. When he isn’t immersed in chasing stories, you’ll find him exploring the local sights and indulging in various cuisines.
