Ray Foreman Biography
Ray Foreman is an American meteorologist working for KSN16 as a Chief Meteorologist on weeknights at 5, 6, and 10. He joined the KSN16 news team in 2008, after previously working for the Civil Air Patrol.
For over 15 years, Foreman has served as the Chief Meteorologist for the Action 12 Weather Team. Since joining KODE, he has earned recognition for his on-air contributions from both the Missouri Broadcasters Association and the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. A member of the National Weather Casters Association since 2002, he has held the N.W.A. Seal of Approval since 2003 and currently contributes to the N.W.A. Awards Committee. He completed the Broadcast Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University in the summer of 2000.
Apart from his meteorological expertise, he is a dedicated pilot and a member of the Civil Air Patrol, specifically the Col. Travis Hoover Composite Squadron based at the Joplin Regional Airport. His passion for aviation, meteorology, and science led him to serve as an Aerospace Education Officer with Civil Air Patrol. In addition to delivering weather presentations in local schools throughout the year, he generously volunteers his free time to educate young students on the significance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
With a broadcast career spanning over 25 years, he has worked for television and radio stations in Missouri and Arkansas. His diverse roles have included writing and producing documentaries, handling vinyl records for country stations, and even hosting a talk radio show.
