Raul Martinez is an American anchor and reporter who is currently working at NBC10 Boston and NECN. He has been serving as a sports director at the stations since May 2016.
El Paso, Texas is his native home and he attended TCU. Syracuse University where he earned an undergraduate degree in journalism. In addition, he also earned a Master’s degree in broadcast journalism.
Furthermore, he began his journalism career in 2004, at KVIA where he served as a weekend sports anchor. Later in 2005, he was named as the Sports Director while he was at the age of 24 years. After working in El Paso for a period of seven years, he later joined KDVR/KWGN in Denver. In addition, while he worked at KWGN, he served as the weekend sports anchor and spent four years in the Mile High City where he covered two Super Bowls.
After he relocated and began working in Boston, he has covered the Celtics going to two Eastern Conference Finals, a Stanley Cup Final appearance by the Bruins, a 2018 World Series title from the Red Sox, and three Patriots Super Bowl appearances (2 titles)
