Raoul Martinez is an American anchor working for FOX 5 as a morning anchor from 6 am to 10 am. He joined the FOX 5 news team in July 2008, after previously working for WESH 2.
Prior to joining FOX 5, Martinez worked at WESH, the NBC affiliate in Orlando, Florida where they worked for 6 years. While he worked at WESH, he received a Columbia DuPont Award and a Peabody Award. In addition, Raoul made appearances on The Today Show, CNN, and MSNBC. Prior to working in Orlando, Martinez worked at KESQ, the ABC affiliate in Palm Springs where he served as an anchor.
When Martinez was 7 years old, he relocated with his family from Cuba to the United States. On arrival, he began watching television news that assisted him in learning how to speak his new language. He attended the University of Southern California where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Journalism in 1999.
