Randy Mac Biography
Randy Mac is an American regional Emmy award-winning consumer reporter who is currently working at KNBC. Previously, he worked at NBC 5/KXAS in Dallas from 2003 to 2014 serving as a general assignment reporter.
Randy Mac Career
He did cover the slayings of Kaufman County prosecutor Mark Hasse, District Attorney Mike McClelland, and his wife, Cynthia McClelland, who were shot by a former Justice of the Peace. I addition, he also worked at KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City where he served as a senior investigative reporter for six years.
After he graduated, he began working at t WSEE-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania where he served as a general assignment reporter. Later on, he worked at WHIO-TV in Dayton, Ohio where he served as an education reporter. Furthermore, his most memorable interviews were on the campaign trail with former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton.
While serving as a journalist, he has received a number of awards such as; Associated Press, a Regional Emmy Award for Breaking News, and numerous civic honors for his community involvement. Furthermore, the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters awarded him top honors for his investigative piece about the cost of health care in city jails.
Canton, Ohio is his native home. He is an active member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the Rotary International, the Urban League, and the National Association of Black Journalists. Additionally, he is eloquent in Portuguese.
He attended the Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a B.A. degree in speech communications.
