Rachel Frank Biography

Rachel Frank is an American Emmy award-winning meteorologist working for FOX 61 as the chief meteorologist and can be seen on weekdays at 4 pm, 5 pm, 10 pm, and 11 pm. She joined the FOX 61 team in October 2008, and later in March 2019, she was promoted to the chief meteorologist position. 

She attended Pennsylvania State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in meteorology with a focus on forecasting. Prior to joining the FOX61 team, she worked in Erie, Pennsylvania, and in Allentown. Rachel is also a member of the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society. In addition, she has worked in Connecticut for the past seven years, and during this time, she has covered numerous historic events, such as Superstorm Irene and Sandy.

However, Frank’s favorite storm was the February 8-9, 2013 blizzard. During her spare time, she enjoys scuba diving, traveling, hiking, eating out, biking, snowboarding, eating out, and spending ample time with her husband and children.
