Rachel Brown Biography

Rachel Brown is an American anchor working for ABC 7 as a co-anchor of the weekday morning newscast from 4 am to 7 am. She joined the ABC 7 team as a weekend morning anchor and general assignment reporter in June 2019.

Chicago is Brown’s native home and she attended the University of Illinois where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2012. One year later, she joined Northwestern University where she earned a master’s degree in communication management. In addition, she was able to secure her first job in South Bend, Indiana and while she was there she got nominated for her first Emmy.

Rachel later relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina where she worked at WCNC-TV for three years. While she was at WCNC-TV, she served as a weekday evening anchor and reporter. In addition, while Brown worked in Charlotte, she volunteered weekly at Levine Children’s Hospital. As she served as a Child Life Specialist, her aim was to make children feel as happy and as comfortable as possible during their stay. While she was in SoCal, she volunteered at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena as she worked in Patient Relations.

Ever since Rachel relocated to Los Angelos,she has enrolled in Spanish classes to better communicate with the diverse community she serves. She enjoys being in Southern California and considers it as home. Whenever she finds time, she enjoys getting outdoors, trying new restaurants, and exploring all that Los Angeles has to offer.
