Rachel Briers Biography
Rachel Briers is an American meteorologist who is currently working at KTRK-TV. She joined the ABC13 Houston weather team in December 2018.
Previously, she worked at KWES in Midland, Texas where she served as the Chief Meteorologist. While she worked at KWES, she covered all of the West Texas weather, inclusive of severe winter storms, large hail, and tornadoes. In addition, her love for the weather started at a very young age.
She attended Texas A&M University where her father had also studied and graduated with a degree in Atmospheric Sciences. Furthermore, after she had graduated, she relocated to West Texas where she started her career in Lubbock. In addition, she is a member of the American Meteorological Society and enjoys giving educational weather talks to schools and the community.
Texas is her native home and she was brought up in the north of Dallas in Plan. Additionally, she is a member of the Houston family. During her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, puppies, and barre.
