Saurer spent the initial nine years of her life in Los Angeles until her family relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado, where she grew up and pursued her education at Colorado State University (CSU – go Rams!). Now, thrilled to be back in her home state, Saurer, a FOX21 News reporter since November 2021, has a passion for covering feature stories, scientific topics, and narratives involving veterans. Before joining FOX21, she dedicated several years to reporting in Cheyenne, Wyoming, for K2 News, focusing primarily on political news such as the Wyoming Legislature and gubernatorial press conferences. Notable among her favorite stories during this period was her coverage of Sydney Walton, the oldest living World War II veteran, as he embarked on a nationwide tour.
Later, she transitioned to KGWN, Wyoming News Now, where she served as the weekend weather anchor and reported three days a week, concentrating on local feature stories. Outside of her professional endeavors, she finds joy in hiking, crafting stories, running, and exploring the scenic downtown area of Colorado Springs.
