Peter Doocy is an American anchor and reporter working for FOX News Channel as a White House correspondent. He joined the FOX News Channel in 2009.

In 2009, he received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Villanova University. He worked as a Palestra.net correspondent for Fox News during his undergraduate years. He joined the network in 2009 as a general assignment reporter based in the New York bureau. Doocy covers the President of the United States’ domestic and international travels, as well as the challenges affecting the government, in his role as White House reporter. In this role, he also represents the network in the White House press briefings, where his inquiries about the COVID-19 and vaccination mandates, the southern border policy of the Biden administration, and the withdrawal of US soldiers from Afghanistan made the headlines.
Most recently, Doocy covered the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict live from the White House. Doocy covered President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign starting with his declaration of his candidacy in April 2019 and continuing through the 2020 election. At the Iowa Caucuses in January 2020, Doocy also conducted an interview with Donald Trump, who was president at the time.
Since 2009, Doocy has covered every significant political election for the network. He has also reported live from significant breaking news events across the nation. Additionally, he was able to have an exclusive interview with Navy SEAL Robert O’Neill in 2014, who claims to have fired the shots that killed terrorist Osama bin Laden. The interview was featured in a documentary called The Man Who Killed Usama bin Laden, which aired on FOX News Channel. Doocy covered the live on-air gunshot deaths of cameraman Adam Ward and reporter Alison Parker of WDBJ-TV in August, 2015.
He reported on the manhunt in June 2015 for the two inmates who had broken out of the Clinton Correction Facility in Dannemora, New York. Furthermore, he has previously provided updates from the site of the tragic Navy Yard shooting in Washington, DC, in 2013. He also covered the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012 in Newtown, Connecticut, as well as the Boston Marathon bombing.
