Pete Sack is an American meteorologist working for NBC 5 a fill-in weather anchor and reporter. He joined the WMAQ-TV weather team in December 2002,
Prior to joining the NBC 5 news team, Sack worked for WDJT-TV, the CBS station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he served as the morning news meteorologist for 2 years. Prior to joining the WDJT-TV team, he worked for WWMT-TV in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he worked for 4 years. While he was at WWMT-TV, he served as a meteorologist, anchor, and reporter. In addition, while Pete worked for WWMT-TV, he won an award in 1998 for “Best Weathercast” which was presented to him by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
Furthermore, Sack has also worked at WHOI-TV in Peoria, Illinois Peoria for 4 and a half years while serving as a meteorologist, anchor, and reporter. Pete attended Mississippi State University where he studied meteorology and graduated proudly with a Bachelor of Arts. In addition, Pete has received Seals of Approval from the National Weather Association and American Meteorological Society. He was brought up in the north suburban Deerfield thus he is familiar with the Chicago weather. During his spare time, he enjoys building furniture in his workshop and spending ample time with his wife and sons.
