Paula Reid is an American anchor and reporter working for CNN as a Chief Legal Affairs correspondent. She joined the CNN news team in March 2021, after previously working for CBC News.

Reid went to New York City in January 2010 and got a job as an intern in the Investigative Unit at CBS News. In late 2010 (June), she got a job as a production secretary for CBS Evening News, which she kept for a year. Reid was a digital journalist working in New York from 2011 to 2014. For his job as a reporter for CBS News, Reid came to Washington, D.C., in 2014. Reid talked about the 2016 email scandal involving Hillary Clinton. She was one of the few reporters in Charlottesville, Virginia, during the Unite the Right protest, which led Governor Terry McAuliffe to declare a state of emergency.
The Special Counsel’s probe into Robert Mueller was led by Reid on CBS News. For a while in 2017, she also worked as a reporter at the White House. Reid was named the CBS News White House Correspondent in April 2019, two years after starting to cover the story. Reid went to Trump’s daily press meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic. She asked why the Trump administration had taken so long to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020. Reid specifically asked what kind of preparations Trump had made in the month after he put in place his travel ban on China. “What did you do during that time?” And you didn’t use it to get hospitals ready or to test more people. Nearly 20 million Americans are out of work right now, and tens of thousands are dead.
When asked about Reid’s tough questions by the New York Post in May 2020, President Trump said, “Nothing like Donna Reed, I can tell you that.” Reid has worked for the CBS Evening News, CBS This Morning, and Face the Nation. CBS announced in January 2021 that Reid would be moving from the White House to the network’s office in Washington, D.C. This was part of a change in the network’s White House and Congress reporters. Moreover, Reid announced in March 2021 that she was leaving CBS to become a senior legal affairs reporter on CNN. On October 16, 2023, she was made the top legal affairs correspondent.
Reid got her bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary in 2005. It was a double major in psychology and English. Jordan had so many tubes in her at the NICU that they were not able to hold her until she was a week, which was heart-wrenching. The doctors, nurses, facilities staff, experts, and so on. Moreover, they saw them take care of babies who were sick or hurt around the clock and calm down nervous parents. They had waited a long time to get to this point and they could not be more thrilled to welcome their baby girl.
The first time Reid tried IVF was in 2020 when she was working as a reporter for the Trump White House. Going through IVF while working at the White House during a pandemic was hard. However, she felt lucky and thankful that they could use this method to grow their family.
