Parker Posey is an American Award-winning Actress and Musician best known for starring in Lost in Space (2018-2021), Parks and Recreation (2011), The Good Wife (2011–12), Louie (2012), Inside Amy Schumer (2014), and Search Party (2016). She rose to fame after starring in the TV Series The Staircase (2020).

Posey pursued her studies in drama at the State University of New York at Purchase. As Tess Shelby in the daytime serial series As the World Turns, Posey received her big break in television. Posey starred in Dazed and Confused (1993) as her first significant role in a feature film. Critics gave the movie positive reviews, and it’s been called a cult classic.

She starred in Opera No. 1, a short film directed by Hal Hartley, in 1994. Posey earned the moniker “Queen of the Indies” for her 32 independent film co-stars throughout the late 1990s.
