Oren Liebermann Biography
Oren Liebermann is an American anchor and reporter working for CNN as a Pentagon Correspondent. He joined the CNN news team in February 2015, after previously working for CBS 3 News.
Liebermann works as a Pentagon reporter for CNN and is based in Washington, DC. The last job he had was as a CNN reporter in Jerusalem. Since Liebermann is a very experienced reporter, it is his job to cover the Department of Defense and problems that affect national security. Liebermann joined CNN in 2015 and was their Jerusalem reporter for six years. He talked to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu twice, as well as past Prime Ministers Simon Peres and Ehud Barak, while he was in the Middle East.
Liebermann covered four Israeli elections and watched as the Middle East changed as Gulf states got back on good terms with Israel. He also went to Russia, England, Serbia, Nepal, and other places for his work. Before leaving CBS 3 to work for CNN, Liebermann was a General Assignment Reporter in Philadelphia. When Liebermann worked for CBS 3, he covered big news in Pennsylvania, like Hurricane Sandy and the Penn State sex abuse scandal.
Liebermann has won several awards for his work over the course of his career, including two Emmys and three Associated Press awards. He attended Ocean Township High School where he received his diploma. He received a degree in Business from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University.
