Olivia Fierro Biography
Olivia Fierro is an American Emmy-winning anchor and host working for 3TV as a weekday morning co-anchor from 6 am to 10 am on Good Morning Arizona. She joined Arizona’s Family in 2003, as a reporter. In addition, she is the host of Olivia’s Book Club Podcast.
Fierro relocated to Las Vegas in 2009, where she worked for Fox5Vegas as an evening anchor for 6 years. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and women’s studies. Later on, she joined UCLA’s Extension Program where she studied broadcast journalism and graduated in January 20000. In addition, her love for reading led her to launch Olivia’s Book Club in January 2019. Later in 2021, she expanded the brand with a weekly podcast whereby she interviews bestselling authors about their books and their personal stories. Olivia also hosts events for Changing Hands Bookstore, both online and in person.
On regular occasions, Fierro donates her time to local nonprofits as a volunteer or event host as she seeks to connect with the people in the community. Over the years, she has worked closely with organizations such as; Dress for Success, March of Dimes, Girls On the Run, Valley of the Sun United Way, and Chicanos por la Causa. In addition, she has had the privilege to interview influential people in politics such as; President Joe Biden, Governor Napolitano, Brewer, and Ducey, U.S. senators, and local mayors. She has also had interviews with authors, actors, musicians, and athletes such as; Diana Taurasi, Larry Fitzgerald, and Michelle Kwan.
Furthermore, the best part about her career while working at Arizona’s Family is the opportunity to assist in keeping the community informed, empowered, and occasionally entertained. During her spare time, she enjoys trying new restaurants, yoga, watching her son play sports, and spending ample time with her family.
