Niko Tamurian is an American anchor working for KOMO NEWS as a Sports Director and Lead Sports Anchor. He joined the KOMO NEWS team in August 2021, after previously working for Onondaga Community College.
Tamurian has joined KOMO News to spearhead Pacific Northwest sports coverage, following his tenure as the head of the sports department at the Syracuse, NY affiliate. Renowned for his achievements, he has been honored with several Edward R. Murrow awards and has been recognized as “Social Media Personality of the Year” multiple times in New York State. He brings a wealth of experience to Seattle. His love for the city developed during a honeymoon trip and subsequent visits, eventually making it a goal to call Seattle home.
