Nick Patrick Biography

Nick Patrick is an American meteorologist who is currently working at Newschannel 20 and with the Fox Illinois Sunrise team. He serves as the meteorologist at Newschannel 20.

Taylorville, Central Illinois is his native home and after a tornado near-missed his home, he feared strong storms from a young age. He attended Eastern Illinois University and while he was still in camps, he worked at WEIU, the PBS affiliate for East Central Illinois. While he worked at WEIU, he gained a love and passion for weather forecasting, and later on, he graduated with a degree in geography and a minor in broadcast meteorology.

After graduating, he began his career, forecasting in the deep south along the gulf coast of Mississippi. Patrick forecasted the weather in Mississippi for two years and later relocated to Charleston West Virginia with his family. While residing in Charleston West Virginia, he assisted in forecasting harsh weather events including a deadly flood in 2016.

He worked in West Virginia for four years and spent 2 years in the desert of El Paso forecasting the brutal heat and strong winds. During his downtime, he enjoys spending ample time with his family enjoying the four seasons of the Midwest.
