Nick Gregory is an American weather anchor working for FOX 5 as an evening weather anchor at 5, 6, and 10 p.m. He joined the FOX 5 weather team in December 1986.
Nick Gregory Career
Prior to joining the FOX 5 team, Nick worked at CNN in Atlanta, Georgia where he served as the morning meteorologist. Before that, he worked at WTLV-Channel 12 (ABC) in Jacksonville, Florida where he was a meteorologist. Over the years, Gregory has been honored with a number of awards and he has been on the American Meteorologist Society’s “Board of Broadcast Meteorology.” In addition, he has also served as the Chairman of the Board of the American Meteorologist Society in 1992.
Furthermore, for Gregory’s Excellence in Television Weathercasting, he was awarded the AMS Seal of Approval. He has also been named as the most accurate weather forecaster in New York City by the Daily News and the New York Post. Nick took part in numerous charities and he has been actively involved in the community by visiting schools all across the tri-state area. In recognition of his work in the community, he received the New York City Comptroller’s Award for outstanding community service.
Nick attended Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, Vermont where he graduated in 1982, with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology. For over 22 years, he has been a licensed pilot and flight instructor. He also served as the FOX 5 News aviation expert on any aviation story. In addition, Gregory also flies missions for Angel Flight, which is a non-profit organization that provides free transportation for financially needy patients and families to and from their medical treatments.
