Nia Wong Biography
Nia Wong is an American anchor and reporter working for FOX 13 as a Friday evening co-anchor for the 5, 6, 10, and 11 pm newscast and the Saturday 6 and 10 pm newscast. She joined the Q13 team in August 2022.
Prior to joining FOX 13, she worked at KXLY-TV, in Spokane, Washington where she served as an evening anchor and investigative reporter for three years. While she was in Lilac City, she received recognition with a Society of Professional Journalists – Northwest Excellence in Journalism award and a regional Murrow Award. In addition, her journalism career began by hanging out in concert pits photographing indie/rock bands and her broadcasting career has taken her through each state on the West Coast.
Furthermore, in 2005, she joined U.C. Irvine where she in 2009, with a Bachelor of Arts in Literary Journalism. Wong is the secretary for the Asian American Journalists Association’s Seattle chapter. During her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, snuggling with her cat Pascal, road-tripping, and playing ukulele.
