Myles Miller Biography
Myles Miller is an American Emmy award-winning reporter working at NBC 4, as a general assignment news reporter. He joined the NBC 4 news team in October 2019, after previously working for Spectrum News.
Myles Miller Career
Miller has won many awards over the years, and while working for WNBC-TV, he has covered the courts, crimes, and general assignment news. He covered the COVID-19 pandemic and for his coverage, the NBC 4 news team was awarded the prestigious Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award by Columbia University. Before Myles joined NBC 4, he worked at the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) where he served as the deputy press secretary, and as a senior advisor to the Fire Commissioner.
In addition, Miller has previously worked at NY1 and Spectrum Networks where he served as a chief investigative reporter for three years from 2017 to 2019. In 2018, he earned a New York Emmy award and he worked at WPIX-TV from 2015-2017, while serving as a law enforcement reporter. Furthermore, while he was at the station, he was part of the team that won an Emmy in 2017, for Best Morning Newscast. Miller worked for WCBS Newsradio 880 AM as a correspondent and while he was at the station, he won a 2017 Edward R. Murrow Award for “Overall Excellence.”
Myles has covered major Tri-State stories while working in the area inclusive of; the mass shooting at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, the deadly West Side terror attack, the Chelsea terrorist bombing, and the inauguration of President Donald Trump. In addition, he has also worked at Reuters where he served as a national correspondent covering the mid-Atlantic states. He also worked at HOT97 as the digital director overseeing the growth of the radio station.
Furthermore, Myles also worked at The Daily where he was a White House correspondent and he traveled across the country with President Barack Obama. He also covered landmark stories such as the Supreme Court decision on the Affordable Care Act, the death of Osama bin Laden, and the 2012 presidential campaign. In addition, he began his career at the New York Daily News where he was a member of a summer program and later worked as an intern.
During Miller’s internship, he covered city politics and government for their suburban; Brooklyn News, Bronx Boro, and Queens. Over the years, he has been featured in; The Daily Caller, the New York Post, Women’s Wear Daily, and FOXNews.com. He is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the National Forensics League, Investigative Reporters and Editors, and the New York Press Club.
