Prior o joining ABC13 Houston, she worked in Tulsa, Okla, and Lafayette, Louisiana where she covered many natural disasters, the Grande Theater shooting, the Baton Rouge Police Officer shooting, and all nine days of the historic Oklahoma Teacher Walk Out. In addition, she was part of the Emmy-winning coverage of the August 2017 tornado in Oklahoma.
Furthermore, for a story highlighting an athlete’s battle with opioids, she won first-place awards from the Associated Press and Oklahoma Society of Professional Journalists. In addition, she was also awarded by the Louisiana Humane Society for her work with animal cruelty cases with the Golden Heart Award.
