Molette Green is an American Emmy-winning anchor and reporter working for NBC4 as a weekend anchor and weekday morning community reporter. She has worked at NBC4 for over 25 years.
She attended D.C. Public Schools and after graduating, she joined Howard University. While she was at the University, she served as a producer and host of programs on Howard University’s WHUT. After a number of years, she left town to anchor news in Mississippi before she decided to return to Washington where she began her family.
Green has been a journalist in her hometown of Washington, D.C. for more than 25 years and during this time, she has received recognized with an Emmy award for her work on NBC4’s newscasts. Prior to joining NBC4, she worked at Newschannel 8 where she served as a morning news anchor for a period of 8 years. Before that, she had worked at WTTG-TV and in COX Media Group’s Washington Bureau.
Molette was heard on WHUR Radio for many years where she covered morning and evening newscasts in addition to contributing to Talk Around Town. Over the years, she has been honored a number of times for her outstanding work including special honors by the Associated Press and through Washington’s Salute to Professional African American Women.
