Mireya Garcia is an American anchor working for FOX 13 Seattle as a morning anchor on Good Day Seattle. She joined the Q13 team in July 2022, after previously working at KOKH Fox 25.
In 2004, she joined The University of Texas at Austin where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalsim in 2008. Later in 2012, she studied at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs where she earned a Master of Arts in communication in 20013. Prior to joining the FOX 13 Seattle team, she worked in Oklahoma City at KOKH Fox 25 where she served as a weekend anchor, consumer reporter, and investigative reporter for a period of 8 years.
While she worked for KOKH Fox 25, she chased tornados and consumer stories. In addition from November 2009 to August 2013, she worked at KRDO NewsChannel 14, where she served as an anchor and reporter. During her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, running marathons, and spending ample time with friends and family.
